Apple giving away free limited-edition AirTag with select iPhone purchases as part of new Japanese New Year promo
Apple has announced that it will be hosting a special shopping event to celebrate Japanese New Year from January 2 to January 3, offering up to ¥24,000 worth of Apple Store gift cards to customers making eligible purchases during the event, as well as giving the first 20,000 Japanese customers who purchase an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone SE a free limited-edition AirTag engraved with a Japanese New Year special emoji.
The Japanese New Year shopping event will offer customers an Apple Store gift card with the value of ¥3,000 when purchasing either the AirPods (2nd generation), AirPods (3rd generation), Apple Pencil (2nd generation) or an AirTag (4-pack).
Shoppers ordering the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone SE will receive a ¥6,000 Apple Store gift card, and those ordering either the Apple Watch Series 3, Apple Watch SE, AirPods Pro, Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD will receive a ¥6,000 gift card.
Customers ordering the M1 iPad Pro will get a gift card worth 12,000 yen, and up to ¥24,000 worth of Apple Store credit for the 27-inch iMac.
Apple’s limited-edition free AirTag is engraved with a special emoji to celebrate Japanese New Year, available only to the first 20,000 customers in Japan who purchase an Phone 12, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone SE.
