Apple kills off 21.5-inch Intel iMac

Apple has pulled the plug on the 21.5-inch Intel iMac, quietly discontinuing the model following the launch of the redesigned 24-inch iMac earlier this year.

As reported by MacRumors on Friday, Apple has pulled the 21.5-inch Intel-based iMac from the online Apple Store, which remained available online as a low-end option for customers deciding between the new 24-inch model and the larger 27-inch ‌iMac.

The 21.5-inch iMac remained available after Apple’s “Unleashed” keynote last week as an affordable entry-level option however, the machine has now seemingly been retired, with the only way to get hold of a 21.5-inch Intel iMac now being through Apple’s official Certified Refurbished online store or through third-party retailers.
