Apple begins tweeting ‘California streaming’ reminders

As we get ready to begin Apple’s highly anticipated “California streaming” special event, the official @Apple account on Twitter is sending personalized event reminders to those interested in watching today’s showcase live on Apple.com.

As seen with previous events, Apple started promoting a tweet last week that invited users to tap the Favorite button on Twitter to receive a reminder from Apple ahead of the main event today, which is expected to see the launch of the iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, redesigned AirPods, and more.

In other Twitter news, after creating a “California streaming” hashflag last week, which adds the event’s artwork to the end of tweets that use the #AppleEvent hashtag, Apple has added a special animation to tweets that use #AppleEvent hashtag, showing a neon-style Apple logo appear when users tap the love heart “like” icon on Twitter.
