Apple has launched a new promo that offers a six-month free trial of Apple Music for students until April, doubling the usual three-month trial for eligible new subscribers in the US, the UK, Canada, and Japan.

Each country has its own set eligibility requirements to qualify for the offer, with UNiDAYS verification required. Apple says, in order to qualify for an Apple Music subscription, “you must be a student studying a bachelor degree, post-graduate degree, or equivalent Higher Education course at a University, College (the U.S. only) or Post-Secondary School (Canada only). Junior, technical colleges, and special courses are also eligible in Japan.” In the UK, the offer is open to all university students.

When the trial ends, students will be charged the reduced price of $4.99 per month, compared to the standard subscription at $9.99 per month.
