‘iPhone 13’ to come in same sizes as iPhone 12 with improved ultra wide cameras, claims Kuo

Respected industry insider Ming-Chi Kuo has published a research note in which he outlines his expectations for next year’s “iPhone 13.”

According to the TF International Securities analyst, Apple intends to make ‘significant’ improvements to the ultra-wide camera on next year’s models, including a widened aperture for boosted low-light performance that would offer enhancements when taking photos at night.

Kuo suggests Apple may up the number of lenses from five to six on the iPhone 13, which in turn would reduce distortion, as well as adding auto-focus to the ultra-wide lens for the first time.

With the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max not even in the hands of customers yet, we don’t know much more about next year’s new devices at present, but rumors have speculated that we may see the device have a smaller TrueDepth camera system, and Kuo himself has said that he expects Touch ID to make a reappearance on the iPhone sometime soon.
