Apple wins Best in Show for ‘Bounce’ AirPods ad
Apple has won Best in Show at the 99th annual ADC (Art Director’s Club) awards for its artistic “Bounce” AirPods ad, earning the “Best of Discipline” award along with two Gold Cube awards in the craft in video and branded content categories.
The award-winning “Bounce” ad was released last June, touting AirPods and their newly introduced wireless charging case by showing a user heading outside and discovering that sidewalks, buildings and everyday objects had suddenly transformed to bounce like a trampoline, leading into a sequence of acrobatics.
In a statement shared with The Apple Post, Kevin Swanepoel, CEO of The One Club for Creativity described the ad as “an amazing example of innovative creative work”.
Bounce’ is an amazing example of innovative creative work, said Swanepoel. It’s the epitome of excellence in filmmaking craft and innovation, which is the basis for how these awards are judged, and well-deserving of the Black Cube honor for Best of Show as the world’s best creative work of the past year.
