Reliable source claims new iMac and Mac mini models are coming soon

Apple may soon release new iMac and Mac mini models, according to a tweet from the mysterious leaker “CoinX” on Twitter.

The vague tweet which simply reads “iMac/Mac mini” next to a “soon” arrow emoji, doesn’t offer any insight into what to expect from the hardware, although the claim comes after leading industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple would debut a new iMac Pro in Q4 2020 as well as a 14.1-inch MacBook Pro.

Apple is due to give the iMac a refresh, with the last update arriving in March 2020, with the iMac mini last seeing an update way back in October 2018. It is unknown if the products will debut this month alongside the launch of the rumored low-cost “iPhone SE 2” or if the machines will be held until WWDC in June.

CoinX has a reliable track record. The leaker was first to share the naming of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, in addition to confirming Apple would use “Pro” in its iPhone line as well as sharing other product details.
