Apple releases watchOS 6.0.1, fixing watch face, calendar and display calibration data bugs

Alongside the release of iOS 13.1.2 and iPadOS 13.1.2 today, Apple has rolled-out its first watchOS 6.0.1 update for Apple Watch, fixing watch face, calendar and display calibration data bugs.

Users can begin to install the update through the Watch app on the iPhone paired with the Apple Watch. The wearable needs to have over 50 percent battery, be placed on a charger, and be within range of the iPhone it is connected to.

Apple describes the new update as providing improved performance, security updates, bug fixes.

  • Resolves an issue where the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse watch face does not speak time
  • Addresses an issue where the calendar complication may not display events
  • Fixes a bug that could result in a loss of display calibration data
