Apple shares new underwater ‘Shot on iPhone’ mini-documentary

Apple has added to its Shot on iPhone series with a new 8 minute-long mini-documentary focusing on the Maldives Shark Research Programme, a charity focused on whale shark research and community-focused conservation efforts.

The video goes underwater to show shots of whale sharks and the researchers that are studying them, in addition to showing how the team use Apple products above water to further their conservation goals.

The new Shot on iPhone documentary was directed by Sven Dreesbach and commissioned by Apple.

While the video was captured entirely on the iPhone, Apple notes how third-party equipment such as the Freefly Movi Cinema Robot, the FiLMiC Pro App, the AxisGO Water Housing, and a Beastgrip, were all used during the production of the video.
