Ariana Grande stars in new Memoji-themed Apple Music Animoji Karaoke commercial

Apple has released a new Animoji Karaoke commercial starring the Memoji of Ariana Grande singing 7 Rings to promote the artist on Apple Music.

Grande’s minute long video sees the singer-songwriter nominated for best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album at the Grammys sing 7 Rings, a track from her latest album “thank u, next” which made a debut on Apple Music on Friday.

During the commercial Grande’s Memoji character is seen with many different Animoji hairstyles and accessories, all of which are available to iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR users in addition to owners of the Face ID-equipped iPad Pro, although Apple notes the Memoji’s shown in the commercial have been “professionally animated.” for the purpose of the video.

The video follows shortly after Apple began decorating billboards across Los Angeles promoting Grammy nominated artists Shawn Mendes, Ariana Grande and Kacey Musgraves.

Grande isn’t the only artist who has been Memojified as part of the Apple Music advertising campaign, Florida Georgia Line, singing Simple and Khalid, singing Talk both also star in their own commercials.

Last year Apple shared Animoji Karaoke commercials ahead of the Grammy Awards featuring the alien Animoji singing “Redbone” by Childish Gambino and the Animoji dog, fox, and poop singing “Stir Fry” from Migos, both of which have since been removed from YouTube by Apple.
