Apple releases iOS 12.1.2 with eSIM bug fixes

Two weeks after the last update to iOS was released, Apple has today rolled-out iOS 12.1.2 with eSIM activation bug fixes for customers using the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

iOS 12.1.2 also includes a fix for an issue that could affect cellular connectivity in Turkey for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

Though it’s yet unknown, iOS 12.1.2 may also address Qualcomm patent violations in China which Apple promised would be addressed within a forthcoming iOS update to legally continue iPhone sales in the country.

How to download iOS 12.1.2:

Don’t panic if you can’t see iOS 12.1.2 showing on your compatible iPhone, due to the high volumes of users trying to download the software, things might be a little slower than usual. If you’re near your computer, you can simply connect your device to iTunes and download via the iTunes desktop app however, if you’re going wire-free, simply follow the instructions below…

  1. Open Settings and click General.
  2. Tap “Software Update” and wait for iOS 12.1.2 to show.
  3. Once iOS 12.1.2 is shown as an available update, tap “Download and Install” and follow the on-screen instructions.
