With the festive season upon us, here’s a quick and easy way to spruce up your customizable Memoji character with a Santa Claus-like red Christmas hat for the holidays.
Nearly everyone who owns either an iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR or a next-generation iPad Pro have created an Animoji-style Memoji character for themselves, but after goofing around for a while when originally setting up the character, most of them have most likely been left untouched in the Messages app.
Now that the holidays are here, this simple Memoji customization will get even your Animoji self in the festive spirit. Ready to get started? Here’s how…
How to add a festive Santa hat to your Memoji:
- Open the Messages app on your Face ID equipped iPhone or iPad and select the Animoji app from the application dock.
- When the Animoji app opens you’ll see the Memoji character you created for yourself. Simply tap the Ellipsis (three dots) in the bottom left corner, then press Edit.
- Tap Duplicate from the list and swipe across the list of Memoji customization options until you see Headwear.
- Scroll through the Headwear list and select the Santa Claus-like hat from the menu and scroll back up and tap on the Color Palette to change the color to red.
- Press Done.
