Apple offering t-shirt reward for employees who complete new mindfulness monthly challenge

Apple is rewarding employees who complete a new mindfulness and meditation month-long challenge with a special edition Apple branded Breathe t-shirt, partnering with app 10% Happier to encourage staff to meditate for a specific amount of time per day for 25 days, reports MacGeneration.

Similarly to what was done earlier in the year when Apple offered employees special black Woven Nylon Apple Watch bands when they completed an internal Apple Watch #CloseTheRings competition, the company is offering exclusive merchandise to promote employee and health wellbeing.

In this instance, 10% Happier (available on the App Store) offers employees content for coping with anxiety, access to guided meditations and videos and advice for applying mindfulness to your relationships, eating, work, and more. – Just like apps such as Headspace, Aura and Calm, 10% Happier saves mindfulness and meditation data to the Health app on iOS, allowing Apple to monitor which employees have successfully completed the  25 day challenge.

With previous challenges, both retail and corporate employees took part, but it’s so far unclear if this is the same for this particular competition, and if the program is being rolled out worldwide. Unfortunately, Apple Watch users such as myself aren’t able to join this promotion and it’s unclear if in the future Apple will roll the challenge out to the general public.
