Apple removes large selection of Apple Watch Bands ahead of September event

Apple has removed a large selection of Apple Watch bands from its online store ahead of a seasonal refresh expected to debut in September when Apple takes to the stage to unveil its new range of iPhone hardware, and possibly the next-generation Apple Watch Series 4.

As noted by Reddit user ScaniaCB80, who first noticed the removal of the watch bands, the wording Apple has used for each unavailable model isn’t the usual “Currently Unavailable” that is often shown when an item is temporarily out of stock for an undetermined period of time, but a more definitive “Sold Out,” suggesting the bands have gone for good.

The refresh has seen 14 bands across the Sport Loop and Sport Band categories be removed from Apple’s online store in the United States, with a selection of designer sold-separately Hermès bands also unavailable to purchase at this time.

Yesterday The Apple Post reported that filings published by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) have seemingly revealed Apple’s forthcoming Apple Watch Series 4, with a list of previously unseen model numbers hinting six new Apple Watch are models launching soon.
