Apple opens breathtaking Piazza Liberty store in Milan, Italy

Apple Store - Piazza Liberty

Apple opened its breathtaking new retail store in Milan, Italy on Thursday, with crowds of thousands gathering to watch Apple’s 17th store in the country open in Piazza Liberty, featuring a stunning fountain that cascades water of the glass walls and entrance way.

Piazza Liberty is the first store in the country to feature Apple’s “next generation” retail store design found at multiple new and refurbished locations across the world. The store features bright light boxes which extend the length of the ceiling, large in-door trees, sequoia wood tables and shelves along the walls and new seating for personal set-up and Genius Bar customers.

To celebrate the opening of the store Apple gave a handful of customers free tote bags and books from local artists, with Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts greeting guests and taking the occasional selfie in front of the store’s magnificent waterfall entrance.
