Apple selling Danalock V3, first retrofit HomeKit Smart Lock in Europe

Apple is now stocking Danalock V3, the first and only retrofit HomeKit compatible smart lock available in Europe following the launch of the accessory earlier in the year.

The easy-to-install Danalock V3 allows users to turn their ordinary lock into a smart lock within minutes, with it being the only smart lock on the market to fit any region globally. The retrofit lock only requires homeowners to install the hardware on one onside of their door, measuring in much smaller and thinner than the competing August Smart Lock.

As with other HomeKit-enabled smart locks, users can control the lock using Siri voice commands, or by using the Home app on their iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. Within the Home app homeowners can grant access to family members to allow them into the property without the need of a physical key. – Users also receive push notifications on their devices once a door has been unlocked, giving details such as the name of the family member who entered the house.

The Danalock V3 Homekit is a wireless smart lock that lets you easily control access to your home from your iOS devices. – Now you can stop worrying about remembering your key when leaving home. Just take your iOS device and use Siri or the Apple Home app to unlock your door. The Home app also lets you give your family access. And you will always be able to use your usual key for locking and unlocking the door.

Danalock V3 is available online at Apple.com in more than 20 countries in Europe, and on the official Danalock website. Customers can pick-up the HomeKit compatible smart lock for £219.95 in the United Kingdom.

Apple Stores in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom are also stocking the accessory.
