Slipping MacBook Pro shipping times hint at new models at WWDC

Ahead of WWDC, Apple’s annual World Wide Developers Conference, Touch Bar models of its 13-inch MacBook Pro have seen shipping estimates slip to June 6, hinting new hardware may launch at the event.

As spotted by Mac Observer, only the 13-inch model of its Touch Bar equipped MacBook Pro machines are showing as available post-WWDC, with 15-inch models are still shipping in as fast as one day. – Given that Apple will likely update both models of its MacBook Pro at WWDC, its likely the 15-inch version will soon become available on June 6 too.

Apple will take to the stage on Monday June 4th to unveil iOS 12 along with newer versions of watchOS, tvOS and macOS 10.14. – It’s been previously reported iOS 12 will likely focus on stability, performance and reliability of the software instead of adding a large amount of new features.

Although WWDC is primarily about software, Apple is no stranger to taking the opportunity to release new hardware while up on-stage.. In 2017 Apple announced HomePod, a 10.5-inch iPad and updates to its MacBook Pro line during the conference.
