Apple releases iOS 11.3 exclusively for new iPad

iOS 11 beta 7

Apple has released iOS 11.3 exclusively on the new iPad with Apple Pencil support which was announced yesterday at their educational themed ‘Let’s take a field trip’ event’.

It’s unclear why Apple has decided to release iOS 11.3 only to the new sixth-generation iPad which went on sale yesterday, however it does indicate that a public rollout of the software is imminent, and could even happen later this week.

iOS 11.3 brings “major updates to ARKit, Messages and more”, including new Animoji on iPhone X, the ability to view health records in the Health app and updates to ARKit.

iOS 11.3 was first announced by Apple in January and will bring ClassKit and Classwork for teachers and students.
