Apple has sent out invitations for a new ‘Let’s take a field trip’ event on March 27, focusing on ‘creative new ideas for teachers and students’ hosted at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, United States.
The vague invitation doesn’t specify what exactly will happen during the event, however it’s possible Apple could take this opportunity to showcase the rumoured lower-priced MacBook aimed at students, a new entry-level iPad alongside publicly releasing iOS 11.3 that features ClassKit and Classwork.
“Let’s take a field trip,” the email reads. “Join us to hear creative new ideas for teachers and students.”
Apple last hosted an education event back in 2012 to introduce iBooks 2 for the iPad, however, no new hardware was announced during the session.
