Apple has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire digital magazine subscription service, Texture, at the SXSW media festival in Austin, Texas today.
Although Apple didn’t detail their plans, the company confirmed that Texture will become integrated with Apple News in the future.

Founded in 2010, Texture provides users with unlimited access to over 200 digital magazines for $9.99 per month, giving readers the ability to read on up to five devices per subscription, with the ability to download issues for offline reading.
“We want the best articles,” Cue said of the company’s plans for Texture. “We want them to look amazing and we want them to be from trusted sources.”
