Apple working on three new Mac models to launch later this year

Bloomberg News has reported that Apple is working on at least three new Mac models with custom co-processors, including updated MacBooks and a new desktop machine which are expected to launch at some point later this year.

The report doesn’t specifically mention which machines are due to be updated, however it’s believed Apple may finally pump life into the ageing Mac Mini, and possibly remove the MacBook Air from their product line-up, with the company turning their attention to just the MacBook and MacBook Pro.

It’s already been reported that the MacBook Pro isn’t going to be majorly updated this year, with minor internal upgrades such as a new 32 GB RAM option and new CPUs expected during late 2018. The Mac Pro which Apple pre-announced in 2017 may finally be unveiled, with the company promising a “completely rethought” modular design that can accommodate high-end CPUs.
