According to Apple, iOS 11 has now been installed on 52% of devices, with 38% on iOS 10 and 10% on earlier versions.

The announcement which was shared on Apple’s Developer website shows the iOS 11 adoption rate lagging behind previous years, however that’s likely due to the iPhone X’s later launch date.

The latest beta release of iOS 11 (iOS 11.2) saw the introduction of Apple Pay Cash, Apple’s new person-to-person payments feature will allow users to send money to friends and family members through the official Apple Pay iMessage app.

Since the public launch of iOS 11 Apple has been continually adding system, with the company rolling out 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 updates to solve issues with the software such as a fix for iPhone 8 users who reported hearing crackling/static noise coming from the earpiece of their device during phone calls and FaceTime calls and a fix for an issue where audio and haptic feedback would not work on some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices as well as the most recent iOS 11.1 update which added new emoji and more.
