Apple could unveil two new M6 Macs at its October 28 event

Apple’s October 28 “Pro and tell” event is expected to bring more than a major MacBook Pro redesign, with two additional M6-powered Macs also reportedly on the way.

Current reporting points to a new 14-inch MacBook Pro with the standard M6 chip and an updated 24-inch iMac, extending Apple’s latest silicon across more of the Mac lineup.

Apple has confirmed the October 28 event, which starts at 10 a.m. PT and is expected to focus heavily on Mac hardware.

The standard 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to retain the current design while moving to M6, separating it from the more dramatic high-end MacBook Pro models expected to gain OLED displays and touchscreens.

The Apple Post previously explained how Apple could launch two very different MacBook Pro updates at the same time, with the standard M6 model focused on silicon while the high-end models receive the bigger hardware redesign.

The iMac is also expected to get an M6 upgrade. Earlier reporting suggested the M6 iMac could also arrive with refreshed color options, although no major redesign is currently expected.

Apple has already started rolling M6 into the Mac lineup, and October 28 could significantly expand that transition. The company has not confirmed either model, so final specifications, pricing and release dates remain subject to change until the announcements are made.
