Apple planning Los Angeles influencer events around October 27 launch

Apple is reportedly preparing influencer events in Los Angeles around its expected October 27 product launch, adding another clue about how the company plans to promote its second major hardware rollout of the month.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said on X that Apple’s marketing team is preparing events for influencers in Los Angeles on the evening of October 27 and throughout October 28.

The activity is expected to surround the late-October launch Gurman previously said would introduce Apple’s first touchscreen MacBooks, an OLED iPad mini, a new 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip and an updated iMac.

Apple appears to be planning hands-on activity around the launch

The Los Angeles plans suggest Apple will support the announcements with in-person marketing and hands-on activity for creators and influencers after the products are revealed. Gurman’s post does not indicate that the main product presentation itself will take place in Los Angeles.

In an earlier Bloomberg report, Gurman said Apple was preparing a product presentation on or around October 27, with the redesigned high-end MacBook Pro expected to gain an OLED touchscreen as part of one of the lineup’s biggest changes in years.

The Apple Post has already reported on clues in macOS 27.2 pointing to touchscreen MacBook Pro support, while earlier reports have also indicated that Apple’s redesigned OLED MacBook Pro could arrive this month.

The October 27 launch is expected to come two weeks after Apple’s October 13 “Welcome home” smart home announcements, giving the company two separate product pushes before the end of the month.
