Apple’s upcoming HomePad smart home hub could be available in four finishes when it launches, with a new leak pointing to Silver, Space Gray, Starlight, and Rose Pink.
The colors were revealed by leaker pdfu after details found in Apple’s software appeared to show the HomePad’s setup experience changing artwork based on the color reported by the hardware.
The same four finishes had previously been discovered in macOS 26.7 Release Candidate code, providing additional evidence that Apple has considered multiple colors for the device.
The reported lineup would give HomePad a broader choice of finishes than Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman described earlier this week, when he said the device uses Apple’s standard gray aluminum finish.
Silver and Space Gray would give Apple two familiar neutral options, while Starlight and Rose Pink would add lighter and more colorful choices for a product designed to remain visible around the home.
The color information appears to be connected to HomePad’s customizable Photo Face feature.
According to pdfu, the Photo Face setup screen selects different preview artwork based on the hardware color identified by the device, suggesting Apple’s software is already prepared to distinguish between the four finishes.
That doesn’t guarantee all four colors will ultimately be sold. Software references can reveal products and features under development without confirming Apple’s final launch plans.
The Apple Post reported yesterday that HomePad’s tabletop design is expected to resemble a miniature iMac G4, with a roughly six-inch square display connected by a polished metal arm to a round speaker base.
The device is also expected to be offered in a wall-mounted configuration using the same compact display.
Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce HomePad on October 13 alongside HomePod mini 2 and a new Apple TV 4K.
The new smart home hub is expected to center on Siri AI, combining Home controls, FaceTime, media, widgets, personal information, and household recognition in a dedicated device for the home.
If all four finishes make it to release, Rose Pink would be the most distinctive option in a lineup otherwise built around Apple’s familiar metallic tones, and could help HomePad fit more naturally into different rooms rather than looking purely like a piece of computer hardware.
