Apple has released iOS 26.7.1 for iPhone users who haven’t upgraded to iOS 27, providing a new round of security fixes for devices remaining on the older operating system.
The update arrives alongside iOS 27.0.1 and a collection of maintenance updates across Apple’s other software platforms.
Apple’s release notes describe iOS 26.7.1 as containing security fixes for iPhone, although the company has not yet published details of the specific vulnerabilities addressed by the update.
The release gives users who are eligible for iOS 27 but have chosen to remain on iOS 26 a way to receive the latest security protections without immediately moving to Apple’s newest operating system.
Apple released iOS 27 on September 14, introducing Siri AI alongside performance, connectivity and interface improvements.
iOS 26.7.1 follows iOS 26.7, which was released alongside iOS 27 earlier this month.
Apple regularly continues providing security-focused updates for older operating systems after a major new version becomes available, particularly for users and organizations that aren’t ready to upgrade immediately.
