Yes. iPhone Duo supports Apple Pencil with USB-C, giving Apple’s first foldable iPhone a feature previously associated with the iPad lineup.
Apple says Apple Pencil support will arrive later in 2026 and will work on either of iPhone Duo’s displays. That means the Pencil can be used on the 5.4-inch outer display while the phone is closed or on the much larger 7.6-inch inner display when iPhone Duo is unfolded.
Apple specifically lists Apple Pencil with USB-C support rather than compatibility with Apple Pencil Pro. The USB-C model can be used for tasks including taking notes, sketching and marking up documents.
The addition makes particular sense on iPhone Duo because opening the device provides substantially more working space than a conventional iPhone. The inner display is Apple’s largest display ever fitted to an iPhone, making handwriting and drawing considerably more practical.
Apple Pencil support will not be available when iPhone Duo first reaches customers on October 23. Apple says the feature is coming later in the year, although it has not provided a specific release date.
iPhone Duo preorders begin October 16, with the device starting at $1,999 in the United States and £1,999 in the United Kingdom.
