Apple has announced that its next generation of software updates will be released on Monday, September 14, confirming the launch date for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and other updates first unveiled at WWDC26.
The updates will be available as free downloads for compatible devices, bringing Apple’s latest features to iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, HomePod, and AirPods.
Apple first unveiled its latest software during WWDC26 in June, introducing major upgrades across its platforms including new Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features, performance improvements, design refinements, and updates to many of its apps.

iOS 27 introduces some of the biggest changes coming to iPhone, including Siri AI, new Apple Intelligence capabilities, Visual Intelligence improvements, expanded customization, and upgrades to Photos, Safari, Messages, Mail, Passwords, Shortcuts, and Home.
On iPad, iPadOS 27 brings many of the same Apple Intelligence features alongside iPad-specific improvements, with Apple continuing to expand the capabilities of the iPad as a productivity device.
macOS 27 Golden Gate brings Siri AI, Visual Intelligence, new Apple Intelligence features, and performance improvements to Mac, while watchOS 27 introduces new Siri, fitness, health, and Smart Stack capabilities to Apple Watch.

Apple is also releasing tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and HomePod software 27 on Monday, September 14, alongside new AirPods firmware as part of its wider software rollout.
Apple has published a full overview of its latest operating systems on its website, detailing many of the new features coming across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
The software has undergone months of testing since WWDC26. Developer betas became available following Apple’s June keynote, with Apple subsequently releasing the first public betas of iOS 27 and its other major operating systems in July.
With the release date now confirmed, users will not have long to wait before Apple’s latest software becomes available.
iPhone and iPad users will be able to download iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 through Settings > General > Software Update on Monday, September 14, while Mac users will be able to install macOS 27 Golden Gate through System Settings > General > Software Update.
Apple Watch users will be able to download watchOS 27 through the Watch app on their paired iPhone, while Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro users will be able to check for tvOS 27 and visionOS 27 through Settings.
