Apple is expected to unveil its first foldable iPhone next month — but customers outside the US may have to wait before they can buy one.
According to a new rumor, Apple may be planning to launch the device in the United States first, before gradually expanding availability to other countries over the following months.
Australian publication ChannelNews says it has been told by local mobile networks and a major retailer that the foldable iPhone will be a “no show” in the country when Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro models launch in September.
The report claims the device will still be announced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but will initially only be available in the US.
Other major markets, including China, could then follow over the next two or three months.
The staggered release is reportedly linked to supply problems, pricing concerns and testing issues with production models that have already been built.
