Apple has expanded AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss in the United Kingdom, bringing theft and loss protection to the iPad and Apple Watch for the first time.
Previously, Theft and Loss coverage in the UK was only available for the iPhone. With the expansion, customers purchasing AppleCare+ for an eligible iPad or Apple Watch can now receive protection against up to two incidents of theft or loss every 12 months, alongside the existing benefits of AppleCare+.
The expanded plans also continue to include unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery service, and 24/7 priority access to Apple Support, providing more comprehensive protection for some of Apple’s most popular devices.
The announcement comes alongside the UK launch of AppleCare One, Apple’s new multi-device subscription that allows customers to protect up to three Apple products under a single monthly plan. Customers who prefer to insure individual devices, however, can continue to purchase standalone AppleCare+ plans, including the newly expanded Theft and Loss option.
Apple says the addition of Theft and Loss coverage for iPad and Apple Watch gives customers greater peace of mind, particularly as these devices become increasingly central to everyday life, whether for work, fitness, travel, or communication.
The expanded coverage is available now in the UK through Apple, with eligible customers able to purchase AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss when buying a new device or, for qualifying products, within Apple’s eligibility window after purchase.
