Apple is reportedly preparing one of its biggest Apple Card sign-up promotions yet, with new customers potentially able to get AirPods Pro 3 for “free.”
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to launch a new in-store offer as soon as next week. Gurman said that customers who sign up for a new Apple Card and purchase AirPods Pro 3 will receive $249 in cash back, effectively covering the full cost of the earbuds.
In a post on X, Gurman said: “Apple is planning a pretty big Apple Card sign-up incentive for as early as next week in retail stores: if you sign up for a new card, buy AirPods Pro 3, then you’ll get $249 cash back.”
Apple has offered Apple Card sign-up bonuses before, though they have typically been smaller and often required referrals from existing cardholders.
Launched in 2019, Apple Card is Apple’s digital-first credit card integrated into the Wallet app, offering Daily Cash rewards, no annual fees, and spending tracking features. Apple later expanded the service with Apple Card Family and a high-yield savings account.
Despite ongoing demand from users in countries including the UK and Canada, Apple Card remains exclusive to the U.S. Apple CEO Tim Cook previously said the company hoped to bring the card “to every country,” though no international rollout plans have been announced.
