Apple says Mac had its best launch week ever for first-time customers

Apple says the Mac has just recorded its best launch week ever for first-time buyers, following the release of several new models including the low-cost MacBook Neo, M5 MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
In a post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook said “Mac just had its best launch week ever for first-time Mac customers. We love seeing the enthusiasm!” The comment comes shortly after Apple’s latest Mac lineup became available in-store following last week’s pre-orders.
Cook did not specify which models were most popular, but the newly introduced MacBook Neo is likely to have played a key role in attracting new users. Starting at $599, the MacBook Neo is Apple’s most affordable Mac to date, featuring a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, the A18 Pro chip, and up to 16 hours of battery life.
