Low-cost MacBook tipped to launch in multiple colours

As Apple nears its expected March announcement spree, fresh reporting has resurfaced around one of its most talked-about upcoming products: a low-cost MacBook available in a range of colours.
The idea of a more affordable, colourful MacBook is not new. Reports about the device have circulated for months, but they are now gaining renewed attention as Apple prepares to unveil several products across a three-day run of announcements beginning March 2 and culminating in a “special Apple Experience” for the media on March 4, held in New York, London and Shanghai.
According to Mark Gurman, Apple has been testing the entry-level MacBook in multiple finishes, including light yellow, light green, blue, pink, silver and dark grey. While not all of those colours are expected to ship, Gurman says Apple is likely to offer at least four options at launch.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously suggested the MacBook will come in yellow, silver, blue and pink, matching the colour palette Apple already uses for the standard iPad.
Reports suggest the machine will be targeted at web browsing, video streaming, schoolwork and light productivity, offering a simpler and more affordable entry point into Apple’s Mac ecosystem.
