iOS 27 to focus on quality and Apple Intelligence improvements
Next year’s iOS 27 will prioritise stability, performance and enhancements to Apple Intelligence rather than major new features, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman reports that Apple plans to extend its on-device AI capabilities to more built-in apps as part of the update. He also reiterates earlier claims that Apple is preparing an Apple Health+ subscription service offering personalised health recommendations.
Aside from those additions, Gurman says iOS 27 will introduce only minor interface and feature changes as Apple focuses on refining the existing system and deepening Apple Intelligence integration.
Gurman adds that macOS 27 is expected to follow the same approach, centring on performance, reliability and AI improvements rather than major new features.
