Second-generation Apple Vision Pro slated to launch this week

Apple is expected to introduce the second-generation Apple Vision Pro this week, with reports suggesting the mixed-reality headset will be updated with either the M4 or M5 chip, replacing the M2 found in the current model.
The refreshed headset is also rumored to include a more comfortable Dual Knit Band head strap inside the box, offering improved fit and balance for longer wear. In addition, Apple may debut a new Space Black color option, expanding the lineup beyond the existing light finish.
Recent U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings confirmed the existence of a new Apple “Head Mounted Device,” believed to be the updated Vision Pro. The documents reveal continued support for Wi-Fi 6, with no sign of next-generation 6GHz Wi-Fi.
Apple is expected to launch new products “this week” via an online announcement rather than hosting a traditional October special event. Alongside the new Apple Vision Pro, Apple is expected to launch an M5 iPad Pro.
