First iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro deliveries arrive to customers across Australia and New Zealand

Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with the first customer deliveries now underway in Australia and New Zealand. Thanks to the international time difference, the two countries are the first in the world to receive Apple’s latest iPhones, ahead of today’s wider global release on Friday, September 19.
While New Zealand does not have any Apple Stores, Australian customers are beginning to collect their reserved orders from retail locations across the country. Deliveries and in-store availability will expand throughout the day as more regions move into launch day.
Also arriving are the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, and AirPods Pro 3, making this one of Apple’s biggest product launches of the year.
The iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max arrive in white boxes with the back of each device featured on the front, while the iPhone Air is shown from the side to emphasize its ultra-thin 5.6mm profile.
All four models debut the new Center Stage front camera with a square sensor for landscape selfies, ultra-stabilized 4K HDR video, and Dual Capture, which lets users record from the front and rear cameras at the same time.
The standard iPhone 17 introduces a larger 6.3-inch ProMotion display, the A19 chip, and an upgraded 48MP camera system. The iPhone Air, Apple’s thinnest handset ever, features a titanium frame, second-generation Ceramic Shield, and a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display.
At the high end, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max feature a new aluminum unibody design, the powerful A19 Pro chip with improved cooling, and a triple-camera system with up to 8x optical zoom.
