Cell carrier leak allegedly reveals iPhone 17 details

With the launch of the iPhone 17 series approaching, a South Korean carrier has allegedly spilled details on all four upcoming models.
According to leaked technical specifications, shared by Jukan on X, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will gain upgraded telephoto camera systems, capable of up to 8x zoom compared to the 5x limit on the current iPhone 16 Pro models.
The document also suggests Apple will move away from titanium, reverting to aluminum frames across the new lineup — a shift back to a lighter material previously used in earlier iPhone generations.
Another detail seemingly confirmed by the leak is the addition of a vapor chamber cooling system for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. This advanced thermal design helps dissipate heat away from the CPU and GPU, allowing the chip to sustain peak performance for longer periods before throttling down under heavy workloads.
The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to be announced on Tuesday, during Apple’s special online event at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, streamed from the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park. Titled “Awe Dropping”, the event invitation features a glowing Apple logo swirled with vibrant blue and yellow energy waves — likely a nod to the new Liquid Glass design aesthetic debuting with iOS 26. Alongside the iPhone 17 series, Apple is also expected to unveil new Apple Watch models.
