Apple has announced it will host a special online event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, from the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park. Titled “Awe Dropping”, the event invitation features a glowing Apple logo swirled with vibrant blue and yellow energy waves—likely a nod to the new Liquid Glass design aesthetic debuting with iOS 26.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 series, consisting of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Air—expected to be the thinnest iPhone yet—is rumoured to boast a 6.6″ 120 Hz OLED display, single 48 MP camera, USB-C, Wi-Fi 7, a titanium–aluminum frame, and a compact high-capacity battery. Pre-orders may start around September 12, with availability from September 19.
The Pro models are tipped to deliver high-end upgrades, including the A19 Pro chip, 12 GB RAM, refined camera-bar design, 48 MP telephoto lens, 24 MP front camera, vapor‑chamber cooling, reverse wireless charging, and a new, scratch-resistant display layer.
All iPhone 17 variants are expected to feature 120 Hz refresh displays, improved glass, and iOS 26—ushering in performance and design advancements.
