iPhone 17 event again rumored for September 9

Apple is once again rumored to be planning its annual iPhone event for September 9. According to German site iphone-ticker.de, internal information from local mobile carriers points to the Apple Event taking place on Tuesday, September 9. Pre-orders for the new iPhones would begin on Friday, September 12, with deliveries expected to start a week later, on Friday, September 19.
This report aligns with previous speculation from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who suggested that Apple is likely to hold the event on September 9 or 10, consistent with its tradition of unveiling new iPhones the week after Labor Day in the U.S.
Apple is expected to announce four new iPhone 17 models next month. The base iPhone 17 is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch OLED ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the new A19 chip, 12GB of RAM, and upgraded cameras—including a 48MP rear camera and a 24MP front-facing camera.
One of the highlights of this year’s lineup is the introduction of the iPhone 17 Air, an ultra-thin model reportedly measuring just 5.5mm thick. It will feature a 6.6-inch OLED ProMotion display and share similar camera specs with the base model, housed in a new titanium-aluminum alloy frame.
The flagship iPhone 17 Pro models are expected in 6.6-inch and 6.9-inch sizes, featuring Liquid Retina XDR displays, the A19 Pro chip, and a triple 48MP camera system. This system will include an ultra-wide lens and a periscope telephoto lens, supporting 8K video recording and enhanced thermal management.
