iPhone 16 more popular than iPhone 15, says Tim Cook

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that the iPhone 16 lineup is more popular than last year’s iPhone 15 series, with iPhone 16 sales increasing by “strong double digits” compared to the iPhone 15.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Cook noted that the iPhone 16 models were particularly popular among current iPhone users upgrading to a new device. His statement covers the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, though he did not specify which models were the best sellers.
The insight comes as Apple announced financial results for its fiscal 2025 third quarter, posting quarterly revenue of $94.0 billion — up 10% year over year — and an all-time high for Services revenue.
Compared to the iPhone 15 lineup, the iPhone 16 series introduced several notable upgrades, including enhanced camera capabilities, a more powerful A18 chip, and improved battery life. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro models feature a new titanium design, making them lighter and more durable.
