Apple seeds revised iOS 26 beta 1 update with new build

Apple has quietly released a revised version of the first iOS 26 developer beta, updating the build number from 23A5260n to 23A5260u without issuing new release notes.
This minor update, now available to developers, likely includes under-the-hood stability improvements and framework refinements ahead of the next release, iOS 26 developer beta 2.
While technically a developer beta, iOS 26 can be installed by anyone enrolled. A more stable public beta is expected to arrive in July.
iOS 26 delivers Apple’s biggest visual update since iOS 7 with a new “Liquid Glass” design, featuring translucent layers, dynamic layouts, and spatial wallpapers with 3D effects. The Lock Screen now adjusts the clock around wallpaper subjects, while apps like Camera, Photos, Music, News, and Podcasts get refreshed interfaces — including a floating tab bar for more immersive navigation.
Apple Intelligence also sees upgrades, with features like Live Translation in Messages and FaceTime, Visual Intelligence for on-screen interaction, and new tools in Phone and Messages such as Call Screening, polls, and Apple Cash group payments. Other highlights include AutoMix in Apple Music, visited place tracking in Maps, and redesigned Wallet boarding passes with Live Activities.
