Snapchat launches new Apple Watch app

Snapchat has launched a new watchOS app, bringing its popular messaging app, previously available only on iPhone, to the Apple Watch. Users can now access Snapchat from both their iPhone and Apple Watch.
With the new app, users can preview incoming messages and reply directly from their wrist using the on-screen keyboard, Scribble, Dictation, or emojis.
“The number of devices we use in our daily lives has grown,” Snap wrote in a blog post. “Already we’re seeing our community enjoy using Snapchat across surfaces including tablet and web, in addition to mobile. This builds on our commitment to making Snapchat available across all the devices you use, including wearables.”
Previously, Apple Watch users could receive Snapchat notifications via a paired iPhone, but without a native watchOS app, replying from the wrist wasn’t possible.
