iOS 18.0.1 in testing, imminent release expected

Apple is said to be preparing to release iOS 18.0.1, the first update to iOS 18 since its debut earlier this month, with a release expected imminently, providing bug fixes and improvements.
As reported by MacRumors, recent data from web analytics shows that Apple is testing iOS 18.0.1, which will likely be released this week, bringing with it bug fixes for both the iPhone 16 series and iOS 18 as a whole, potentially addressing a touchscreen issue affecting some iPhone models, and bringing with it a fix for the bricking issue on some M4 iPad Pros.
Apple released iOS 18 earlier in the month, featuring an all-new customizable Home Screen, a redesigned Control Center and Photos app, a long-awaited password manager, the ability to lock apps with Face ID, and iMessage improvements, including the ability to use any emoji as a Tapback reaction, schedule messages, format text with bold or underline, RCS support for improved messaging with Android devices, and more.
