Apple Watch Series 10 now available to pre-order, releasing Friday, September 20

Apple has opened pre-orders for the newly announced Apple Watch Series 10, set to launch on Friday, September 20. Starting at $399, the Series 10 boasts the largest display and thinnest design ever, measuring just 9.7mm thick—nearly 10% slimmer than the Series 9—and is 20% lighter in its stainless steel version. The aluminum models also see up to a 10% reduction in weight. Additionally, the Series 10 introduces Grade 5 titanium as a new material option, replacing stainless steel for added durability.
Apple claims the Series 10 is the fastest-charging Apple Watch to date, reaching 80% charge in just 30 minutes. It comes in Jet Black and Rose Gold, alongside the existing Silver Aluminum option. For the first time, the Series 10 allows music and podcasts to be played directly through its built-in speaker. The model also features an integrated metal back with the antenna embedded into the housing. Additionally, it introduces a sleep apnea alert feature, monitoring nighttime breathing disturbances.
The Apple Watch Series 10 also introduces significant advancements in health monitoring, building on Apple’s focus on user well-being. Alongside the sleep apnea alert, it offers enhanced heart rate tracking, blood oxygen measurements, and ECG functionality, providing users with comprehensive health insights. These features are accessible through the Health app, where users can receive personalized recommendations and track long-term health trends.
In terms of compatibility, the Series 10 supports all existing Apple Watch bands, ensuring that users upgrading from previous models can continue to use their current accessories. The new 42mm and 46mm band sizes also remain compatible with older watches.
Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 (U.S.).
