Apple announces Apple Watch Series 10 with largest display, thinnest design, new finishes, more

Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, featuring a design that’s nearly 10% slimmer than its predecessors and an all-new, larger display that surpasses the Apple Watch Ultra.
The Series 10 introduces the largest and most advanced display of any Apple Watch to date, with up to 30% more active screen area compared to earlier models. The wide-angle OLED display is up to 40% brighter when viewed from an angle, making it easier to interact with notifications and apps in various lighting conditions.
The larger display offers up to 30 percent more active screen area than Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, and Series 6, and up to 9 percent more than Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Series 9.
Health and fitness tracking see notable advancements with the addition of sleep apnea notifications. Utilizing advanced sensors, this feature monitors breathing disturbances during sleep, helping users identify potential signs of sleep apnea—a condition affecting over 1 billion people globally. The Apple Watch Series 10 not only tracks these disturbances but also provides detailed insights and actionable recommendations, available in the Health app on iPhone.
Charging has been significantly improved, with the device boasting a larger charging coil, reaching 80% charge in about 30 minutes.
In terms of design, the Apple Watch Series 10 is available in both aluminum and titanium finishes. The new Jet Black polished aluminum finish offers a strikingly reflective shine, while the updated titanium cases—available in natural, gold, and slate—provide a jewelry-like appearance.
The Series 10 is available for pre-order today, with general availability starting on September 20. Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 (U.S.).
Older Apple Watch bands, including 41mm and 45mm sizes, will be compatible with the new 42mm and 46mm cases, and all new 42mm and 46mm bands will be compatible with older Apple Watch models.
