iPhone 16 Pro Max expected to be Apple’s top-produced model in upcoming lineup

Out of the four new iPhone models anticipated for announcement next month, the iPhone 16 Pro Max—the priciest of the bunch—is projected to be the most popular. Apple has reportedly instructed suppliers to increase production of this model significantly, making it the highest-produced variant in this year’s lineup.
According to a report on supply chain component shipments (via AppleInsider), Apple expects its Pro-series iPhones to remain more popular among consumers compared to the standard models. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to represent 37% of the total new device shipments for the rest of the year, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro is forecasted to account for 30%, the iPhone 16 for 27%, and the iPhone 16 Plus for just 6%.
This suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max together will constitute 67% of the total production.
The upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is expected to maintain a design similar to the iPhone 15 series but will include notable updates, such as a new capacitive button on the side for capturing photos and videos. The Pro models are rumored to feature slightly larger displays, with the iPhone 16 Pro featuring a 6.3-inch screen and the Pro Max boasting a 6.9-inch screen.
Reports indicate that Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 16 series on Tuesday, September 10.
