Apple has announced that it will be hosting its annual Japanese New Year promotion from January 2 through January 5, where it will offer customers in Japan a free Apple gift card worth up to ¥30,000 with the purchase of an eligible Apple device, plus a free AirTag with the purchase of qualifying iPhone models.

Gift card denominations span from ¥4,000, suitable for items such as the iPhone SE and third-generation AirPods, to ¥30,000 for the 15-inch MacBook Air.

Moreover, among the initial 50,000 buyers in Japan purchasing a new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 13, or third-generation iPhone SE during Apple’s promotional period, a special-edition AirTag engraved with “Year of the Dragon” will accompany the purchase along with the gift card.

To qualify, customers must be in Japan and place their order through Apple.com or at a physical Apple Store. Purchases made through the Apple Store app are excluded from the promotion.
