Apple says its installed base of active devices has reached a new all-time high, following a record-breaking June quarter that saw strong growth across its major product categories.
Announcing its fiscal third-quarter 2026 financial results, Apple revealed that the number of active devices worldwide hit a new record across every major product category and geographic segment, reflecting continued demand for the company’s ecosystem of hardware and services.
The milestone comes as Apple reported $109.4 billion in quarterly revenue, up 16% year over year, with record June quarter revenue from iPhone, Mac, and Services.
“We are very pleased with our record business performance during the quarter, which set new June quarter records for both EPS and operating cash flow,” said Apple Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh. “Our installed base of active devices also reached a new all-time high across all major product categories and geographic segments.”
While Apple no longer discloses the exact number of active devices, the company has repeatedly pointed to the growing installed base as one of its most important business metrics. A larger installed base not only reflects the popularity of Apple’s products but also provides a bigger audience for subscription services such as Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV+, and the App Store.
