Apple to start accepting trade-ins for Mac Studio, 13-inch M2 MacBook Air, and 13-inch ‌M2‌ MacBook Pro on day of WWDC keynote

Amid rumors of a new, larger 15-inch MacBook Air launching early next month at WWDC, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that Apple is planning to begin accepting trade-ins for the latest Mac Studio, 13-inch M2 MacBook Air, and 13-inch ‌M2‌ MacBook Pro on the day of the WWDC keynote.

In his weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman says the machines will become eligible for trade-in with Apple next week on Monday, June 5, seemingly suggesting that Apple is preparing for its rumored new 15-inch model to launch in the coming days.

The insight follows after it was reported that in preparation for the machine’s launch, Apple is now holding large amounts of stock with suppliers to ensure adequate availability at launch, which will see Apple offer two MacBook Air models for the first time in several years

The design of the new 15-inch MacBook Air isn’t expected to dramatically change compared to the current 13.6-inch model that Apple announced last year, featuring a Liquid Retina display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging, and more in four new finishes — midnight, starlight, silver, and space gray.

It is rumored that the new 15-inch MacBook Air will feature the same 2M chip found in the smaller 13.6-inch model.
