Apple shares first images of new Apple Gangnam store, opening Friday, March 31 in South Korea

Apple has shared its first images of the new Apple Gangnam Apple Store opening in Seoul’s world-famous Gangnam District in South Korea on Friday, March 31, giving a preview of the store that features a dedicated Apple Pickup area, a double-height façade, Today at Apple area, the company’s iconic wooden tables and avenues showcasing the latest products and service, and more.

Apple Gangnam is the iPhone maker’s fifth store in South Korea. The company opened its first store in South Korea, Apple Garosugil, in 2018. This past year, Apple Myeongdong debuted Apple’s first-ever K-pop Today at Apple Remix session featuring K-pop group SEVENTEEN, and Apple Jamsil at Lotte World Mall opened in December.

Apple also launched the Apple Developer Academy and Apple Manufacturing R&D Accelerator in Pohang last year. And just last week, Apple Pay launched in South Korea, where customers can experience this service in all five Apple Store locations.

Apple Gangnam will welcome its first visitors on Friday, March 31, at 5 p.m. local time. Apple Gangnam’s grand opening is by reservation only. Registration starts on March 29 at 8 a.m. The store is run by nearly 150 retail team members who collectively speak more than a dozen languages.
